古代エジプトの女神、バステトをイメージした黒猫モチーフのかんざしです。

This is a hairstick(hairpin) with a black cat motif inspired by the ancient Egyptian goddess Bastet.

Catusのショップアイコンにも使用している黒猫は、魔除け・縁起が良い"福猫"として、昔から日本では大切にされてきました。
海外では魔女の使いなどマイナスなイメージの地域もあり、日本でも国際化とともに不吉といった意味を持つようになりました。

The black cat, which is also used in the Catus store icon, has long been cherished in Japan as a "lucky cat" to ward off evil and bring good luck.
In other countries, the black cat has a negative image as a messenger of witches, and with the globalization of Japan, the black cat has come to have an ominous meaning.

女神バステトは猫の姿で描かれることもあり、家庭を守る・病気や災厄から人々を守るといった力があるとされています。遠く離れた日本と同じイメージがあるなんて、不思議なものですね。

The goddess Bastet is sometimes depicted as a cat, and is believed to have the power to protect families and protect people from disease and misfortune. It is strange that she has the same image as Japan, which is so far away.

また、アジサイの花にも良い花言葉・悪い花言葉両方があります。

複数の花が集まっていることから、家族団らん・和気あいあいといった意味もある一方で、土の環境次第で色が変わるため、移り気(浮気)といった意味合いもあります。
また、バラなど一部の花と同じで色別の花言葉があるお花でもあります。

The hydrangea flower also has both good and bad floral meanings.

Because it is a grouping of several flowers, it can mean family unity and harmony. On the other hand, because its color changes depending on the environment of the soil, it can also have the connotation of being frivolous (unfaithful).
Also, like some flowers such as roses, it is a flower with a flower language by color.

今回は、良い意味での花言葉を重視し、女神バステトとアジサイで魔除け・家庭を守るといった意味合いのお守りかんざしとしてリリースいたしました。

This time, I picked up the good meaning of the language of flowers and combined the goddess Bastet and hydrangea to create a lucky hairpin to ward off evil and ensure family safety.
